What Colors Should you Paint Your House Flips?

I have flipped more than 200 houses and we are not one of those companies that paint every house the same color. We usually try out new colors all the time and make sure to use different colors on most of our projects. We show all of our house flips on YouTube and people are always asking me, “What colors should you paint your house flips?” I usually answer with, “I have no idea. Nikki, my project manager chooses them.” I have managed to get Nikki to provide many of the paint colors we use and from now on, we will try to update this page every time we paint a new house flip or rental property! Not only can you see the paint colors we use but I will link to the YouTube video of that house so you can see exactly what the paint colors look like. We will show the body interior and exterior body and trim colors!

Paint Colors on our House Flips

We get almost all of our paint from Home Depot since we have a managed pro account and get some great deals. These are all Behr paint colors. We don’t have a house color for every house we have done since we sometimes do things by the seat of our pants and don’t track it all. If we don’t have a house color listed, we probably don’t have it. If there is no YouTube link, then we have not shot a video for that house yet after it was painted, but it will be added soon!

Note: if you’re on mobile, rotate to landscape for the best view of this table.

  1. Mark, Thanks for the info on Clayton Morris. You at least saved me some time, & possibly some grief. It amazes me that crooks manage to stay out of jail, but of course some of them get elected president of the United States.

Mark, I currently live in Garland, Texas, at 1210 Guildford St. I have remodeled several houses most of which were flipped by either my son Miller or me. I grew up in a small town in Southwest Oklahoma, Cyril Oklahoma. Like many small towns, Cyril has suffered from the population shift to larger cities with more opportunity. Many similar towns are almost ghost towns, but Cyril has has persevered and even won a state football title last year, in the smallest town category. There are excellent prospects there to purchase fifty year old homes, fix, & flip, but the profit on those houses is nothing compared to Garland, Texas. However, the quality of life in small town Oklahoma is still excellent. l

Do you think a good business could be built around selling the older homes “As Is” to retirees or others that are priced out of the Metro markets in larger cities? The people there are still wonderful, and their lives revolve around church and school activities. The story is relevant across the state in the outlying rural towns. Medical facilities are around 25 miles away in small cities of Lawton & Chickasha. I need a good business that is not too challenging, as I am now on my 77th trip around the sun.

My contact info is 1210 Guildford St, Garland, Tx. 75040 or cell number 214,207.8809.

Thanks again for the tip off on Mr. Morris.

    1. The tricky part is many of those people probably don’t want a big fixer upper. It could work if the houses were financable but maybe not all the way updated. This is often called wholetailing.

  2. We own a single-family property in Greeley we bought in 2022 and renovated. We’ve had renters for the past 1-1/2 years while we have been fixing up the home. We would like to purchase another single-family property needing to be renovated but the interest rates are cost prohibitive. How do you purchase another renovation project home in this market?
