I have been a real estate agent and investor for over 15 years. In that time, I have helped others buy and sell thousands of homes and have bought and sold hundreds of homes myself. Most real estate investors take the house buying and selling process very seriously, but many others do not. Often, house buyers depend on their real estate agent, lender, attorney, or title company to make decisions for them.

A house is usually the biggest purchase most people ever make, and they should treat it as such. Real estate can be an amazing tool for gaining wealth, even for those who have little money. You do not have to be a real estate investor buying rentals or flipping houses to make money in real estate. Owner occupant buyers can get a great deal, use loans to reduce down payments, add value to homes while they live in them, and in many cases, even avoid paying taxes when they sell. Of course, there are also downfalls to buying houses. You may pay too much, buy a house that needs too much work, pay more for a house than you can afford, or lose money when you sell. I wrote this book to teach everyone the best way to buy and sell houses as well as how to avoid costly financial mistakes.

For many people, the equity in their house could surpass what they make from their jobs in a year or even five years with the right purchase. While I think everyone should know the right way to buy a house without relying on agents or lenders, this book encourages everyone to use the right lenders and agents.
